Brad Nathan is President of Lynx Equity Limited. As President, Brad works with the Lynx management team to define strategy and goals.  His responsibilities include negotiating and overseeing acquisition transactions, operations and capital sourcing. After receiving his Chartered Accounting designation, he practiced accounting at Price Waterhouse, and then at Grant Thornton in Toronto. He later served as Vice-President of merchant banking at Rothschild Canada Limited. He served on the Board of Directors of the Toronto Wildlife Centre for many years and continues to support wildlife related organizations.

Joanna oversees finance and administration for Lynx, including cash flow management, financial accounting and reporting functions for Lynx and its subsidiary companies, and corporate governance. Joanna holds an HBA and an MBA, both from the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario. She also holds her CPA/CMA designation. Her interests include yoga, golf, skiing, and spending time with her family.

Marvin’s responsibilities include cash flow management and financial accounting, as well as overseeing the reporting and management of subsidiary companies. Marvin started his career with Ernst & Whinney, Chartered Accountants, and… Marvin’s responsibilities include cash flow management and financial accounting, as well as overseeing the reporting and management of subsidiary companies. Marvin started his career with Ernst & Whinney, Chartered Accountants, and has has been involved in the hair care industry for over 25 years and is currently President of Topcuts and Melonhead, running the day to day operations and franchising. In his free time Marvin enjoys going to the cottage, spending time with his family, and running on the treadmill just enough to keep up with his pet gecko.

Steve joined Lynx in 2014 as the company’s first Chief Operation Officer. He oversees the operations of Lynx’s portfolio companies and is responsible for the creation and strengthening of synergies between them. He is also involved in budget creation and the integration of new companies into Lynx’s portfolio.  Steve has over 25 years’ experience in operations and finance in the health care and information technology sectors. His personal interests include golf, guitar, yoga and travelling the world with friends and family.

Hartley joined Lynx Equity Limited as Corporate Counsel in March 2019.  Prior to joining Lynx, he was a Partner in the Business Law Group at Minden Gross LLP.  His practice concentrated on corporate/commercial law, with an emphasis on… Hartley joined Lynx Equity Limited as Corporate Counsel in March 2019.  Prior to joining Lynx, he was a Partner in the Business Law Group at Minden Gross LLP.  His practice concentrated on corporate/commercial law, with an emphasis on corporate governance matters and corporate meetings. Hartley has been involved in major sales and acquisitions of private corporations, complex shareholders agreements, and corporate reorganizations. He is an avid Sherlock Holmes and mystery story fan and has written books on Sherlock Holmes and Jack the Ripper.

Michele is responsible for all aspects of Human Resources at Lynx’s head office, and acts as a resource to the management and staff at the subsidiary companies. Michele develops policies, procedures, best practices, job descriptions and employment… Michele is responsible for all aspects of Human Resources at Lynx’s head office, and acts as a resource to the management and staff at the subsidiary companies. Michele develops policies, procedures, best practices, job descriptions and employment contracts. As well, she oversees recruitment and selection, benefits management, staff restructuring, staff relations, and incident investigations. Michele enjoys personal fitness, entertaining (including hosting cooking challenges) and participating in extreme activities that take her out of her comfort zone.

Cindy graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School in 1990. After her Call to the Bar, she practiced law at Torkin, Manes, Cohen and Arbus.   She was then invited by the Dean of Osgoode Hall Law School to take on the Role of Director of Alumni… Cindy graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School in 1990. After her Call to the Bar, she practiced law at Torkin, Manes, Cohen and Arbus.   She was then invited by the Dean of Osgoode Hall Law School to take on the Role of Director of Alumni Affairs for the law school, acting as a liaison between the Law School and Osgoode’s Alumni. Before joining the Lynx team, Cindy was a freelance writer, executive recruiter and independent legal consultant. She enjoys traveling with her family, scuba diving and photography.

Judith has been involved as an investor and advisor with Lynx Equity Limited since its founding in 2007. From 2000-2019, she sat on the Advisory Board, raising capital and advising on corporate strategy and growth. From 2000-2019, she sat on the Advisory Board, raising capital and advising on corporate strategy and growth. As Director of Judith has been involved as an investor and advisor with Lynx Equity Limited since its founding in 2007, and with its predecessor, Succession Capital Corporation, since its founding in 2000. Prior to joining Lynx’s Management Team, she was an active member of the advisory board, raising capital and advising on corporate strategy and growth. In her current role, Judith contributes to the development of Lynx’s corporate strategy, identifies opportunities that advance the growth of Lynx and its portfolio companies, and raises capital. In addition, she leads turnaround projects of individual subsidiaries in transition, providing strategic, operational, and financial direction to improve and stabilize their performance. Judith has a BSc from Boston University and an LL.B/J.D. from Osgoode Hall Law School where she won the Harold J. Rubenstein Prize in Civil Liberties. She practiced corporate/commercial law as an associate at the Toronto firm of Lafleur Brown and as Corporate Counsel at the skincare company, The Body Shop (Canada). Throughout her career she has started and been involved with numerous small businesses and entrepreneurial projects and has been a value investor in public and private companies. Judith is devoted to her friends, family, and dog and is passionate about organizations and initiatives that advance global animal welfare and international human rights.

Glenn’s responsibilities include capital funding, deal origination, strategic direction and operational review. His previous experience includes 10 years at BMO Nesbitt Burns Ltd. where he was Vice President and Director responsible for mergers and acquisitions. Glenn was also a Principle of JMM Trading LP and was responsible for buying equity and debt stakes in a wide variety of North America businesses. He is active in a number of charities including the Toronto Wildlife Center and the Annex Cat Rescue. His personal interests include fitness, nature and reading.

Steve has over 15 years of public accounting experience assisting mid-size private companies with all its business advisory, accounting, and tax needs. Steve is active in his local community and has previously served as Treasurer and on the Board of a local synagogue. In his spare time he enjoys playing softball, cycling, and spending time with his family.

Jennifer oversees cash flow management for Lynx and its subsidiary companies. She also assists with sourcing bank financing for new acquisitions and manages day-to-day banking needs. In her free time, Jennifer enjoys spending weekends at the cottage and taking her black lab to the beach.

Eric graduated from Dalhousie University with a Bachelor of Commerce, Major in Finance. During his time at Dalhousie, Eric was a member of the Dalhousie Investment Society and studied for a term at Grenoble École de Management in Grenoble, France. In his spare time, Eric enjoys cooking with his Nonnas and spending time with his family, friends and dog, Leo.

During her three years in Mexico, she acquired strong operational experience working for Safran and Airbus Group. She also ran a family machinery business in San Diego, California where she was responsible for servicing clients all around globe. In her spare time, Sophie enjoys outdoors adventure and backpacking around the world.

Richard has over 25 years' experience in security, solution architecture, IT operations and leadership across a number of industries, including internet technologies, mobility, insurance and non-profit. After gaining experience in support, operations and development, Richard, spent over 10 years with BlackBerry, building out organizational capability in the web, solution and security architecture spaces. In his spare time, Richard enjoys golf, travel and spending time with family.

She earned her B.A. from Concordia University in Urban Studies, and a Graduate Diploma in Management, with a concentration in Marketing, from McGill University. In her free time, she enjoys travel, cooking, painting and spending time with friends and family.

Maria joined Lynx in May 2018 and is responsible for overseeing cash flow management for Lynx and its subsidiary companies. Maria graduated from York University with an Honours Bachelor of Commerce with a specialization in Accounting. Maria is currently enrolled in the CPA Ontario PEP program and is actively pursuing her CPA designation. In her spare time, Maria enjoys cooking, fitness, and spending time with family.

Andrew works with the HR team to provide human resources support to both the Lynx Head Office and all of the subsidiary companies. A former teacher in Taiwan, Andrew transitioned to the field of human resources 6 years ago and has been gaining progressive experience ever since. A true generalist and business partner, Andrew enjoys all aspects of the field and is keen to draw on both his current skillset as well as take on new challenges. In his free time, Andrew enjoys spending time with his twin nephews and traveling.

Heather’s role provides support to the Director of Human Resources for Lynx corporate and for our portfolio of companies. Heather has over 25 years’ experience in accounting, operations and human resources. Heather has over 25 years’ experience in accounting, operations and human resources. She started her career at Premier Salons and Magicuts a Canadian Franchise Hair Salon chain. She initially was a bookkeeper but quickly moved up the ranks in the operations department running a group of over 300 salons. Heather is also a longtime supporter and volunteer for Casey House in Toronto, a hospice for individuals living with HIV/AIDS.

Jonathan joined Lynx in August of 2018.  He assists with preliminary fundraising in the United States. Jonathan was born and raised in New Jersey, he graduated with a Bachelor’s of Business at the University of Colorado in 2005.  Prior to joining Lynx, he owned and operated an athletic training facility in San Diego, California. He started his business in 2009, developing programs for student and professional athletes to achieve success at the highest level of their sport.  Jonathan enjoys volunteering for the community and helping organizations like Habitat for Humanity.

Mujtaba graduated from University of Toronto with a BBA, specializing in Finance and is a CFA Level 2 candidate. During his time at UofT, he was a member of the Student Managed Fund. Outside of work, Mujtaba enjoys travelling, competitive flag-football and cooking.

Shelly studied Sociology at Ryerson University and during her time there, she was on the Sociology Student Council and was the Executive of Events & Community Engagement for the Department’s Student Union. In her free time, Shelly enjoys solo morning walks, trying out new restaurants, spending time with friends, and volunteering for various fitness initiatives.

Aglae joined Lynx Equity in April 2019. As an Administrative/Executive Assistant, she is responsible for supporting the management group, investors and the entire Lynx team.
