Meet Brad Nathan and support the Weizmann Institute

Brad Nathan is one of Canada’s most dynamic young entrepreneurs. He is the Founder and President of Lynx Equity Limited, named in 2014 and 2015 by Canadian Business/PROFIT Magazine as one of Canada’s 50 Fastest Growing Companies.

Founded in 2007, Lynx is a Toronto-based diversified private equity firm focused on acquiring established businesses from owners looking to retire. Lynx follows a value-investing model and a buy-and-hold strategy. With revenues of $300 million, 1300 employees, and offices in Toronto, Calgary, Los Angeles and San Diego, Lynx’s portfolio is comprised of 42 diverse businesses across North America.

Brad has his BA (York University), International MBA (Shulich School of Business) and Chartered Accountant designation (ranking in the top 10% in Canada). He began his career as a CA at Price Waterhouse and Grant Thornton in Toronto and at Coopers & Lybrand in Paris, and in venture capital/merchant banking at Rothschild Canada Limited. Thereafter and prior to starting Lynx, he founded and was President of Succession Capital Corporation, a company he grew to $40 million in sales in nine years.

Known for his tenacity, sense of humour and integrity, Brad has publicly shared the many risks he took, mistakes he made, and challenges he overcame to grow Lynx into the success story it is today. He is a member of the Globe and Mail’s Report on Business Leadership Lab contributing insight and advice about leadership and management issues to the business community.

Brad has appeared on CTV and BNN, including on the Pattie Lovett-Reid Show and as a regular judge on BNN’s The Pitch hosted by Andrew Bell. In addition to his love of business, Brad’s personal passions include planetary science and astrophysics, animals, nature, and fitness. He was a member of the Board of Directors of the Toronto Wildlife Centre for nine years and organized, sponsored and fought in five charity boxing/mma events to raise money for wildlife and a woman’s shelter.
